21 Rest

Day 6 was a rest day in Tru by Hilton in Milford, Ohio.  The hotel had a great breakfast with about anything one might reasonably expect.  I slept in till 8:30 and met Ross returning from doing his laundry on my way to breakfast.  Bob and I gathered our dirties plus detergent from Ross and set the machines to work. Tom was in the lobby working on the video for his blog. We bothered him most of the day. About noon we tagged along when Ross did a Walmart run. Tom and Bob restocked with Coke, water, and beer. On the way back we stopped at Ronies, a not McDonald's burger joint, for lunch. At Walmart my impulse buy was a family pack of super stuffed Oreos. We snacked on them the rest of the evening and skipped supper.

While at Ronies Phil had called that he was moderately ill and had tested positive for COVID so could not join us.  Jimmy had planned to ride with Phil. A few calls and texts back and forth established Jimmy was still coming via a one way rental. Hate it for Phil. We’ve been lording over him his missed opportunity for the original Ride to DTI and was an original booster of this ride. I spent the evening trying to work up a new rooming plan that was fair to everyone to no avail. Bob had a go at it this afternoon and looks like we have a good start.
