Wrapping It Up

We were again up and packed by breakfast opening at 6:30 am, then sat around talking for an hour. Ross drove us out of Cumberland and west on I-68 for two hours when we stopped for a nature break. I took over till we were past the confusing transition around Lexington, KY. Jimmy finished the drive home.

Traffic was never bad despite the numerous miles long lane closures in Kentucky. About any other interstate would have been stop and go for hours but traffic is light on this route, even on a Monday.

Now it’s unpacking, washing clothes before they mildew, and assessing losses. The damaged shifter may be a non issue as I have a very similar spare left by the Postman whose hood looks to fit the marred but mechanically sound one on my bike.

Another great tour in the can.
